We do not believe in making extra from you, your basic needs are all taken care of - internet access, washing machine, bed linen, breakfast all inclusive in the room/bed rate.We believe that small is beautiful. We pride ourselves in offering cheap accommodation by which we don't mean over crowding the place or reducing the facilities we offer.

  • What our guest's think of us

"I particularly liked the staff who were very helpful and always willing to answer my questions. What's more, I appreciated the fact that this hostel is not very big so that you do not have an imression of living in an overcrowded place. The rooms were not overcrowded either, which is often the case in such cheap accomodation. I liked the location too. Although the hostel is not located in the city centre, it has a very good tram connection with most of the places worth visiting in Sheffield. Therefore, I would really recommend this place for tourists."

  • What our guest's think of us

"Its a good location for getting into town by a short taxi journey and we definitely had no worries about safety. We loved how laid back the guys are there and we had a great laugh in the end. Cheapest stay in Sheffield, if you're in a hurry. Nice staff."

  • What our guest's think of us

"They have free wi-fi ant breakfast was good. They also have a nice view of the city, and you can get there easily by tram or taxi. They also have a bathtub which I loved and miss now that I left. I would say it's the best hostel in Sheffield. It has this traditional look that I love and don't see any more in hostels nowadays. Staffs were friendly and helpful. The breakfast provision was good."

  • What our guest's think of us

"I booked a single room, but got a room that actually had two beds; otherwise not too much furniture in the room. Free milk and cereals in the big common kitchen. Toilet and shower was clean. Location wise, Sheffield is quite small, so no problem here, 5-10 minutes walk to the tram, which is in four stops from the centre. I did not try to go on foot to the centre, but the guy from the hostel (nice guy!) told me it's 15 minutes, which I believe, as Sheffield is quite small."

  • What our guest's think of us

"I was worried when I read the reviews so I was delighted to find a clean and friendly hostel when I arrived. The management also sends you an email with lots of useful info about the hostel, including good directions, before you arrive. The staff is excellent, ready to help and very friendly. Although the rooms are a bit small they're clean and quite comfy and if you're there only for a few days it's fine. Breakfast is self-catering but everything is provided. Excellent value for money!"

  • What our guest's think of us

"I loved it - it's got real character and the 'dormitory' consisted of 6 single beds like you would find in a private room. The facilities are as good as I'd want them and the guy on the reception desk was very friendly and was very enthusiastic to help. The directions provided got me from the station to the place without a single problem, and it was only a short walk to the university (where I wanted to go)"

  • What our guest's think of us

"Decent budget place to stay in Sheffield, only 1/2 hour walk, perhaps a bit less from the city centre. Staying in a 6 bed male dorm. Room/ bed was clean and comfortable. Check in was easy, there's a charge for cards so paid in cash. They offer a basic breakfast of cereal and toast which is available at anytime (unlike some places which lock the kitchen overnight) and also free tea/ coffee available at anytime which is great."

  • What our guest's think of us

"I had to come down from Lincoln for a wedding , and booked a triple room on short notice (day before) for a rather reasonable £39 . The guy at the hostel was very friendly and helpful and showed us around the hostel , which was clean and spacious , if a bit basic ,but hey what do you expect for the price !! . A definite bonus was the free WiFi , which worked well ,as well as the breakfast (cereal+toast) which went down well on the bleary morning after!"

  • What our guest's think of us

"Very friendly and helpful man on reception who showed me around the facilities and sorted out the free wifi. Good breakfast making facilities which were convenient for my early start. Room has all the basic needs but was immaculate."

  • What our guest's think of us

"Upon arrival we were greeted by a lovely young man from Germany who was working during his travels. After checking us in he showed us around the Hostel, ensuring we knew where the kitchen, toilets and showers were, before showing us to our room. The room was basic (we stayed in a double), but clean and comfortable, and well worth the money we thought. The cost also included free continental breakfast which we took advantage of, which included toast with a selection of jams and spreads and cereals. There was also access to unlimited tea and coffee. The hostel was great for our 1 night stay, if you're after luxury then don't go here, but for what you're paying and if all you really need is a bed and a peaceful nights sleep I would recommend it."
